Website Accessibility

We want everyone who visits the Wylie ISD website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding. The Wylie Independent School District is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities have the same access to its electronic and information technologies that are available to people without disabilities, including content made available through the use of our websites.

Wylie ISD  is committed to compliance with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 and Title II. Web sites used by Wylie ISD strive to provide substantially similar functionality, experience, and information access to individuals with disabilities as it provides to others.

What are we doing?

To help us make the Wylie ISD website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Wylie ISD website.

How are we doing?

We've worked hard on the Wylie ISD district and campus websites and believe we've achieved our goal of Level AA accessibility. We monitor the website regularly to maintain this, but if you do find any problems, please get in touch.

Let us know what you think
