Counseling

Rhett Lange - Counselor

Rhett Lange

This is my 13th year in education and my 3rd year as a School Counselor at Draper Intermediate School. Prior to working in Wylie ISD, I worked in Garland ISD as a 7th grade Texas History teacher for 7 years. I am married to my wife Meagan and we have four kids. We are so proud to both be employed by such an amazing school district! I enjoy spending time with my family which usually looks like outdoor activities, movie nights, and attending church. I also work hard with helping run our family ranch in east Texas.

Being a counselor has always been one of my dreams because I take great pride in helping students develop their academic, social, and emotional skills. I collaborate closely with our administrative team, professional teachers, and parents to make sure that our students receive the best education possible so that they can thrive during school and in the next chapter of their life. Some of the ways I do this is through small groups, individual counseling, and guidance lessons that focus on grit, self-motivation, social problem solving, coping skills, safe digital literacy, and setting personal goals. I look forward to helping make sure your child has the best experience possible at Draper Intermediate School!
